Ellington Vera <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El colchicum autumnale l. Es una planta de interes medicinal, de sus semillas se extraen diversos alcaloides, siendo colchicina y colchic\u00f3sido los importantes por sus aplicaciones ter\u00e1peuticas. Estas plantas presentan el inconveniente de que su reproducci\u00f3n por v\u00eda sexual es practicamente nula, es por ello que surgio la idea de intentar microporpagarla por diferentes t\u00e9cnicas de cultivo in vitro, que permitieran la iniciaci\u00f3n de un nuevo cultivo alternativo.  se ha conseguido la micropropagaci\u00f3n del c\u00f3lchico por formaci\u00f3n de brotes adventicios a partir de brotes b3 y b4, el resto de estructuras ensayadas, brotes b4 antiguos, entre nudos y ovarios, no han permitido el establecimiento de protocolos efectivos de micropropagaci\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n se logr\u00f3 desarrollar pl\u00e1ntulas mediante la t\u00e9cnica de embriogenesis somatica, solo que para la maduraci\u00f3n de los embriones som\u00e1ticos y posterior desarrollo de mismos a plantulas,las condiciones de fr\u00edo parecen constituir un requisito indispensable, pues solamente los callos, tratados a bajas temperaturas fueron capaces de formar pl\u00e1ntulas. A parte de los aspectos de propagaci\u00f3n vegetal, se determin\u00f3 el nivel de alcaloides en plantas de c\u00f3lchico procedentes de diferentes poblaciones naturales, al mismo tiempo este estudio se hizo extensivo a especies del genero androcymbium.
