El an\u00e1lisis de las 5.500 cuartillas aproximadamente que integran dichos manuscritos ha ido acompa\u00f1ado de un cotejo de la versi\u00f3n manuscrita de cada novela con dos versiones impresas: las correspondientes a la edici\u00f3n pr\u00edncipe y a la edici\u00f3n ilustrada de 1881-1885. con todo ello he elaborado un corpus de trabajo que recoger\u00e1 la transcripci\u00f3n de todas aquellas variantes que reflejan los cambios en la composici\u00f3n estructural de cada episodio. La idea b\u00e1sica que conforma este proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n pretende estudiar las dificultades compositivas que la primera serie completa de episodios plante\u00f3 al joven gald\u00f3s y las consecuencias art\u00edsticas que se han derivado en el orden de la t\u00e9cnica narrativa. He dejado de lado las variantes meramente estil\u00edsticas, que ya fueron objeto de atenci\u00f3n en la memoria de licenciatura, y he centrado el trabajo en el proceso gen\u00e9tico de los textos.  he podido definir dos procesos compositivos diferentes y perfectamente identificables entre s\u00ed que conviene establecer como modelo gen\u00e9ricos, pues como tales se confirman en el estudio de se confirman en el estudio de los diez mss. De la primera serie. cinco de ellos han sido constituidos a partir de una \u00fanica redacci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica, en tanto los otros cinco presentan dos redacciones
