En esta tesis, hemos llevado a cabo las siguientes aportaciones a su resolucion. Hemos propuesto un nuevo formalismo gramatical: gramatica de unificaci\u00f3n de huecos (sug, slot unification grammar). Tambien hemos desarrollado en prolog un sistema modular de procesamiento del lenguaje natural denominado sup (slot unification parser). Igualmente, hemos llevado a cabo un estudio completo de la anafora, que nos ha permitido delimitar el tipo de anafora a tratar (la anafora discursiva que sucede en un contexto linguistico, mas concretamente en la morfosintactica de tipo nominal cuyas expresiones anaforicas estan formadas por pronombres o sintagmas nominales en los que se encuentra omitido el nucleo nominal o de tipo adjetivo, y por ultimo, tanto relaciones de correferencia como de no correferencia y la aproximacion utilizada para su resolucion (sistema integrado democratico pobre en conocimiento basado en restricciones y preferencias). hemos trabajado tanto sobre textos restringidos como no restringidos, obteniendo en el ultimo caso un porcentaje de exito o precision del 83% en la resolucion de la
