En las fases de avance y de almacenamiento, se utiliza la metodolog\u00eda de balance de volumen para riego por superficie, presentada por scaloppi et al. (1995) y adaptada por levien y camacho (1997) para el avance en riego por surcos con pendiente. Para las fases de agotamiento y de receso, son adaptados los modelos levien (1985) para riego por surcos y de strelkoff (1977) para riego en canteros de escurrimiento.  son sujeridas algunas aproximaciones matem\u00e1ticas para facilitar y simplificar los c\u00e1lculos matem\u00e1ticos. El modelo es validado por la comparaci\u00f3n con datos de campo y con modelos matem\u00e1ticos m\u00e1s complejos. Los resultados demuestran el buen comportamiento de la metodolog\u00eda propuesta as\u00ed como la validez de las hip\u00f3tesis utilizadas para el desarrollo del
