Se han construido m\u00e1quinas para realizar los c\u00e1lculos de manera eficiente y se han aplicado las mismas al estudio de varios modelos de inter\u00e9s en mec\u00e1nica estad\u00edstica y teor\u00eda cu\u00e1ntica de campos.  en el campo de construcci\u00f3n de ordenadores se ha puesto en funcionamiento un ordenador paralelo de prop\u00f3sito general dotado de 32 microprocesadores pentiumpro a 200mhz. Para aumentar el rendimiento de esta m\u00e1quina se ha desarrollado un sistema para dotarlo de v\u00edas r\u00e1pidas de comunicaci\u00f3n entre procesadores.  por otro lado, se ha desarrollado un ordenador de prop\u00f3sito espec\u00edfico para la simulaci\u00f3n de vidrios de spin. Para ello se han utilizado componentes de l\u00f3gica programable en los que se ha sintetizado la l\u00f3gica requerida para la simulaci\u00f3n. Esto ha permitido obtener circuitos electr\u00f3nicos que proporcionan una potencia de c\u00e1lculo superior a la de los ordenadores convencionales con los cuales se puede abordar el estudio de la fase de baja temperatura de estos materiales.  aplicando estas m\u00e1quinas a la f\u00edsica se ha estudiado el comportamiento de un algoritmo microcan\u00f3nico aplicado a vidrios de spin. se ha investigado tambi\u00e9n el diagrama de fases de un modelo de ising con dos acoplamientos.
