Milagro Yoldi <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Los receptores adren\u00e9rgicos beta3 se encuentran implicados en la regulaci\u00f3n de la homeostasis de la glucosa, y adem\u00e1s, presentan importantes efectos lipol\u00edtico y termog\u00e9nico. Sin embargo, y a pesar de los numerosos estudios publicados sobre el tema en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, los mecanismos implicados no est\u00e1 del todo claros. As\u00ed, se considera que la acci\u00f3n hipoglucemiante de estos compuestos podr\u00eda tener relaci\u00f3n con una estimulaci\u00f3n de la secreci\u00f3n de insulina, una mejora de la sensibilidad perif\u00e9rica a dicha hormona, una menor liberaci\u00f3n de glucosa desde el h\u00edgado, y finalmente, un efecto directo sobre la captaci\u00f3n de glucosa por parte de ciertos tejidos.  en el presente trabajo, trecadrine, un compuesto con afinidad selectiva por los receptores adren\u00e9rgicos beta3, ha sido administrado por v\u00eda oral en un modelo de diabetes alox\u00e1nica en ratas wistar. Tras 4 d\u00edas de administraci\u00f3n (1 mg\/kg d\u00eda), la hipeglucemia provocada por el alox\u00e1n disminuy\u00f3 hasta alcanzar los valores propios de los animales control (de 289+-39 a 149+-32 mg\/dl), sin que se observaran diferencias en las tasas de insulina circulante. este descenso de la glucemia parece estar relacionado con una menor liberaci\u00f3n de glucosa desde el h\u00edgado, ya que el tratamiento con tecadrine inhibi\u00f3 la actividad de la enzima glucosa-6-fosfatasa en los hepatocitos. Al mismo tiempo, la incubaci\u00f3n con tecadrine de diversos m\u00fasculos esquel\u00e9ticos, condujo a un importante aumento en la captaci\u00f3n  de 2-deoxi-d-glucosa por parte de aquellos m\u00fasculos (extensor digitorum longus y gastrocnemius) con predominio de fibras blancas, glucol\u00edticas. Este efecto parece estar relacionado con le descenso observado en el ratio entre la expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica del transportador de glucosa glut4, dependiente de insulina, y del glut1, no dependiente de insulina, lo que sugiere la implicaci\u00f3n de un mecanismo no dependiente de insulina.
