Los activadores son mol\u00e9culas con alto momento dipolar, mientras que los inhibidores presentan momentos dipolares bajos. Los valores de homo (orbital molecular m\u00e1s alto ocupado) y lumo (orbital molecular mas bajo no ocupado) muestran que los activadores son compuestos aceptores de electrones y los inhibidores compuestos dadores de electrones. El comportamiento de los activadores tambi\u00e9n depende de la hidrofobicidad de la cadena lateral (activadores con un mayor car\u00e1cter hidrof\u00f3bico son m\u00e1s efectivos).  a partir de la dependencia de los par\u00e1metros cin\u00e9ticos de la reacci\u00f3n con el ph, en presencia de un activador y de un inhibidor competitivo, a distintas temperaturas, junto con estudios de modificaci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica, los residuos catal\u00edticos encontrados son: lisina, histidina y tirosina. La modificaci\u00f3n con depc muestra residuos de histidina, con un pk 6.6. La modificaci\u00f3n con etilacetamida muestra un residuo de lisina, con un pk de 8.36. La modificaci\u00f3n con tnm muestra dos residuos con un pk 9.0.  el mecanismo propuesto en el estudio para la nad-glutamato deshidrogenasa de h.Salinarum es: 1 ) uni\u00f3n del coenzima nad+ con un residuo de histidina. 2 ) uni\u00f3n de los grupos carboxilo del l-glutamato a dos tirosinas. 3 ) interacci\u00f3n entre el alfa-hidr\u00f3geno del l-glutamato y la lisina desprotonada e interacci\u00f3n entre la histidina desprotonada y un hidr\u00f3geno del grupo amino del l-glutamato. 4 ) transferencia del alfa-hidr\u00f3geno como ion hidruro al coenzima. 5 ) ataque nucleofilico del agua. 6 ) formaci\u00f3n de la alfa-carbinolamina, que se descompondr\u00eda en el alfa-ceto\u00e1cido correspondiente, y liberando el amonio.#<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de
