Estos mutantes presentan un alto grado de resistencia a cefoxitina y cefalosporinas de tercera generaci\u00f3n, pero las carbapenemas mantienen su actividad, por lo que constituyen una de las mejores opciones para tratar infecciones causadas por estas cepas. La p\u00e9rdida de expresi\u00f3n de la porina ompk36 en cepas cl\u00ednicas se debe en gran parte a la transposici\u00f3n de secuencias de inserci\u00f3n dentro del gen ompk36. Las secuencias de inserci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n pueden provocar una menor expresi\u00f3n de porina, incrementando moderadamente la resistencia a cefoxitina.  se ha clonado y secuenciado el gen de la porina ompk35 de k.Pneumoniae. La regulaci\u00f3n en funci\u00f3n de la osmolaridad y la secuencia de amino\u00e1cidos indican que es una porina de tipo ompf. La expresi\u00f3n de la porina ompk35 permite una mayor tasa de difusi\u00f3n de az\u00facares y antibi\u00f3ticos que la porina ompk36.  las cepas cl\u00ednicas no productoras de esbl expresan principalmente ambas porinas ompk36 y ompl35, mientras que la mayor\u00eda de cepas productoras de esbl muestran una baja expresi\u00f3n o no expresan ompk35. se seleccionaron mutantes in vitro resistentes a antibi\u00f3ticos beta-lact\u00e1micos derivados de cepas no productoras de esbl, los cuales mostraron principalmente alteraciones de la expresi\u00f3n de ompk35. La alteraci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n de porinas en mutantes derivados de cepas productoras de esbl es un mecanismo poco frecuente.#<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
