Pilar <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El interfer\u00f3n gamma es una citocina que promueve la defensa contra pat\u00f3genos y c\u00e9lulas tumorales y que participa en un gran numero de procesos inmunopatol\u00f3gicos. La principal v\u00eda de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n utilizada por el receptor del interfer\u00f3n gamma es la via jak-stat.  las prote\u00ednas jakl, jak2 y statl son requeridas para la inducci\u00f3n de los efectos biol\u00f3gicos del interfer\u00f3n gamma. El principal objetivo del trabajo desarrollado en esta tesis es la comprobaci\u00f3n de si la via jak-stat es la \u00fanica implicada en la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n del interfer\u00f3n gamma, o existen otros mecanismos mediados por esta citocina.  utilizando macr\u00f3fagos derivados de m\u00e9dula \u00f3sea de ratones deficientes en statl, y mediante t\u00e9cnicas substrativas (representational difference analysis) y paneles de oligonucleotidos (genechip), he podido demostrar la existencia de genes regulados por el interfer\u00f3n gamma mediante un mecanismo independiente de statl. Para posteriores estudios de la cin\u00e9tica de regulaci\u00f3n a nivel de mrna y de proteina he caracterizado la regulaci\u00f3n mediante interferon gamma de 5 genes: la quimoquinas mip-1alfa y mip-1beta el receptor cxcr4, el enzima arginasa y la citocina il-1beta.
