En general a altas concentraciones el fosfato inhibe la cristalizaci\u00f3n.  a bajas concentraciones el fosfato afecta la proporci\u00f3n de hematites y goethita.  cuando los valores de ph son \u00e1cidos o neutros el fosfato favorece la formaci\u00f3n de hematites. A valores alcalinos se forman goethitas principalmente.  las hematites incorporan cantidades significativas de fosfato. T\u00e9cnicas como erd, drx, ir y la disoluci\u00f3n en \u00e1cido sugieren que el fosfato est\u00e1 ocluido deforma estructural. proponemos un modelo en el que el fosfato ocupa los huecos tetra\u00e9dricos de la estructura de la hematites.  las goethitas incorporan poco fosfato. No hay pruebas de que el fosfato est\u00e9 ocluido de forma estructural. En los casos en que incorporan cantidades significativas de fosfato se comprueba gracias a la t\u00e9cnica de edx-met que est\u00e1 asociado principalmente al n\u00facleo de hematites de los cristales
