La utilizaci\u00f3n de la t\u00e9cnica de flujo detenido nos ha permitido el desarrollo de dos m\u00e9todos, fotom\u00e9tico y fluorim\u00e9trico, para la determinaci\u00f3n de este contaminante en aire que se caracterizan por ser r\u00e1pidos, sensibles y selectivos. Los m\u00e9todos propuestos han permitido la determinaci\u00f3n de formaldeh\u00eddo en atm\u00f3sferas urbanas con tiempos de muestreo muy cortos, inferiores a 15 minutos. Los m\u00e9todos hansido validados usando el m\u00e9todo est\u00e1ndar del \u00e1cido cromotr\u00f3pico.  tambi\u00e9n se aborda la determinaci\u00f3n no espec\u00edfica de tensoactivos ani\u00f3nicos y cati\u00f3nicos. Para ello se propone la metodolog\u00eda basada en la formaci\u00f3n de agregados mixtos: micelas mixtas en presencia de electrolitos y agregados premicelares inducidos por colorantes. Esta metodolog\u00eda, que se basa en la medida de la concentraci\u00f3n cr\u00edtica de los agregados mixtos formados, ha permitido el desarrollo de nuevos m\u00e9todos anal\u00edticos r\u00e1pidos, sensibles y selectivos, en los que la respuesta de los tensoactivos es independiente de su peso molecular.  por otra parte, se propone el uso de tensoactivos ani\u00f3nicos para la extracci\u00f3n y preconcentraci\u00f3n de compuestos org\u00e1nicos. As\u00ed, se describe por primera vez la separaci\u00f3n de fases de disoluciones acuosas de tensoactivos ani\u00f3nicos de cadena hidrof\u00f3bica lineal en medio \u00e1cido y se aplica a la extracci\u00f3n y preconcentraci\u00f3n de contaminantes org\u00e1nicos polares y termol\u00e1biles como una etapa previa a su determinaci\u00f3n cromatogr\u00e1fica. Al tratarse de tensoactivos i\u00f3nicos sus tiempos de retenci\u00f3n son bajos, y al no poseer grupos arom\u00e1ticos en su mol\u00e9cula no presentan absorbancia o fluorescencia elevadas, por lo
