La metodolog\u00eda seguida es la de la linguistica de corpus, esto es, la investigaci\u00f3n de par\u00e1metros linguisticos en corpus o colecciones electr\u00f3nicas de lengua inglesa real (helsinki corpus of english texts y lob corpus of british english), los cuales son sometidos a pruebas estad\u00edsticas que demuestren la validez de las conclusiones emp\u00edricas.  una vez delimitado el concepto de \u00abtema\u00bb, el objetivo de este estudio es la justificaci\u00f3n de cualquier variedad marcada que se aleja de la configuraci\u00f3n no marcada, en la cual el constituyente que funciona como sujeto de la oraci\u00f3n aparece en posici\u00f3n inicial preverbal.
