En este trabajo se estudia, mediante m\u00e9todos fluorim\u00e9tricos, como la presencia o ausencia de ion bicarbonato en el medio afecta a las funciones de exocitosis, regulaci\u00f3n de ph intracelular y se\u00f1al intracelular de calcio.  la ausencia de ion bicarbonato aumenta la exocitosis de los mastocitos activados con est\u00edmulos tanto dependientes como independientes de calcio, excepto la tapsigargina. Este efecto inhibidor del bicarbonato es dependiente de calcio y de la pkc.  en cuanto al ph intracelular, los mastocitos poseen un intercambiador ci\/hco3- independiente de sodio que participa en la regulaci\u00f3n del ph por bicarbonato, adem\u00e1s de un mecanismo desconocido que introduce iones bicarbonato en el citosol.  por otro lado la presencia de bicarbonato aumenta la concentraci\u00f3n citos\u00f3lica de calcio libre cuando se activa la entrada de calcio y el vaciamiento de los reservorios intracelulares de calcio.
