L\u00f3gicamente, dicha relaci\u00f3n tiene lugar en el marco de la interdependencia entre la nueva sociedad industrial con sus formas de vida y sus nuevas formas de pensamiento social y de creaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica. En este marco creemos que el positivismo se presenta como una reacci\u00f3n frente a las filosof\u00edas de la restauraci\u00f3n, de la revoluci\u00f3n y de los idealismos post-kantianos de \u00ablo absoluto\u00bb, de la misma forma que el impresionismo se manifiesta, respectivamente, como una reacci\u00f3n frente al neo-clasicismo, el realismo social ut\u00f3pico y el
