Se modela el proceso de propagacion del frente de llama que se desplaza en la direccion del flujo mediante la aproximacion de capa limite simulandose el proceso de combustion mediante una reaccion global irreversible segun una ley de tipo arrhenius. El modelo tambien incluye perdidas por radiacion desde la superficie de la varilla. El sistema de ecuaciones parabolico que describe el proceso de propagacion se resuelve numericamente de forma iterativa.  los resultados obtenidos describen el campo fluidodinamico, la estructura de la llama y el proceso de propagacion en condiciones de flujo mixto. Se ha investigado la influencia de la cinetica quimica. Por otra parte, para condiciones de microgravedad se ha analizado la extincion de la llama debida a perdidas por radiacion desde la superficie que tiene lugar a altos numeros de damkohler.  para la velocidad de propagacion, la comparacion entre los resultados calculados y los obtenidos con experimentos realizados en tierra es cualitativamente satisfactoria.
