Las talasemias son un grupo heterog\u00e9neo de anemias hereditarias caracterizadas por un defecto cuantitativo en la s\u00edntesis de las cadenas de globina. Las alfa talasemias, son debidas generalmente a delecciones de material gen\u00e9tico. Actualmente, la aparici\u00f3n de la pcr, ha simplificado la detecci\u00f3n de las formas m\u00e1s comunes de alfa talasemia.  la leucemia aguda linfobl\u00e1stica procede de la transformaci\u00f3n y proliferaci\u00f3n clonal de una c\u00e9lula progenitora linfoide que da origen a la producci\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas neopl\u00e1sicas escasamente diferenciadas. El estudio de los genes de las ig y del rct, permite detectar la existencia de expansiones clonales de c\u00e9lulas linfoides y pueden ser aplicados al diagn\u00f3stico y detecci\u00f3n de enfermedad residual en la leucemia aguda linfobl\u00e1stica.  pero por otra parte, existen otras alteraciones moleculares presentes en los pacientes con hemopat\u00edas malignas, y entre ellas las mejor caracterizadas son las traslocaciones cromos\u00f3micas algunas de las cuales son espec\u00edficas de un determinado tipo de leucemia o linfoma como la t(14;18)(32;q21) que est\u00e1 presente con una elevada incidencia en los nh foliculares (85%). As\u00ed, el estudio de dicha traslocaci\u00f3n por t\u00e9cnicas de biolog\u00eda molecular puede ser aplicado en el estudio al diagnostico y monitorizaci\u00f3n de los pacientes con i nh
