De La <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En esta tesis se ha estudiado, por una parte, el efecto de la diabetes experimental inducida por estreptozotocina sobre el sistema igf\/igfbps en ri\u00f1\u00f3n de rata diab\u00e9tica durante la etapa neonatal. La mayor contribuci\u00f3n de estos resultados ha sido la observaci\u00f3n de que la hipertrofia renal inducida por la diabetes en etapa neonatal podr\u00eda resultar de un incremento en los niveles renales de igf-ii, a diferencia de lo encontrado en ratas diab\u00e9ticas adultas, donde el causante de dicha hipertrofia es el ac\u00famulo de igf-i. Por otra parte, se ha establecido un modelo experimental de cultivos primarios de hepatocitos de fetos de rata de 21 d\u00edas de gestaci\u00f3n con el fin de estudiar los mecanismos moleculares que regulan los igfs en la etapa perinatal del desarrollo.
