En las que despu\u00e9s se colocaron implantes osteointegrados se han vuelto a medir las densidades, en el espacio adyacente, al mes de la intervenci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica y a los cuatro meses. Para ello se ha utilizado un absorci\u00f3metro de doble energ\u00eda de rayos x (dexa) denominado norland xr-26, con el que ha sido preciso idear unas proyecciones especiales para adaptarlo al \u00e1rea estudiada.  97 han sido los espacios estudiados, de un total de 40 sujetos (22 mujeres y 18 varones), de edades comprendidas entre los 18 y 81 a\u00f1os de edad. 69 son los implantes seguidos en el trabajo. Todas estas mediciones de densidad fueron analizadas seg\u00fan grupos de edad, sexo, posici\u00f3n anat\u00f3mica&#8230;, Etc. Con las mediciones seg\u00fan la posici\u00f3n anat\u00f3mica y las diferencias significativas encontradas se ha elaborado un mapa preliminar de densidades en ambos maxilares. con el resto de grupos se ha comprobado la escasa incidencia de la osteoporosis general en los maxilares. La densidad preimplantaria se comporta de forma creciente seg\u00fan los tres momentos del tiempo estudiados, siendo, dicho aumento, m\u00e1s evidente en los huesos m\u00e1s porosos, alcanzando valores similares a los m\u00e1s densos a los cuatro meses. Tambi\u00e9n se ha comprobado el escaso efecto de los mecanismos de la osteoporosis, en los grupos te\u00f3ricamente de riesgo, en la cicatrizaci\u00f3n mineral periimplantaria.
