Opt\u00e1ndose por un estudio del adverbio oracional en la gram\u00e1tica textual, se recurre a la pragm\u00e1tica como campo m\u00e1s adecuado para estudiar el discurso en su contexto, y se analizan las diferentes funciones pragm\u00e1ticas de los adverbios oracionales. Delimitado el mardo te\u00f3rico, se realiza un amplio estudio sint\u00e1ctico, sem\u00e1ntico y pragm\u00e1tico de los a.O. Evaluativos, modales, pragm\u00e1ticos, de \u00e1mbito y discursivos procedentes de un corpus de siete novelas de muriel spark. Este exhaustivo an\u00e1lisis se completa con el estudio num\u00e9rico comparativo de los adverbiales catalogados, comprobando su frecuencia de uso, posiciones preferentes, funciones sint\u00e1cticas
