Se trata de una sociedad cuya producci\u00f3n y reproducci\u00f3n se enmarca en un proceso de desculturaci\u00f3n y de desintegraci\u00f3n social y demogr\u00e1fica inseparablemente unido a esta transici\u00f3n colonial. La construcci\u00f3n de las fuentes narrativas y documentales y la recolecci\u00f3n de los datos etnogr\u00e1ficos que permiten abordar su estudio no se pueden en modo alguno desvincular de esta desvertebraci\u00f3n y disoluci\u00f3n ininterrumpidas. Ni tampoco de la relaci\u00f3n de alteridad y de conflicto que vincula a los nativos canarios con los colonos y repobladores europeos. A la luz de estas premisas, se examinan el territorio, el paisaje, los procesos de trabajo ligados a la apropiaci\u00f3n de los recursos naturales, el espacio habitado y la demograf\u00eda. En lo que concierne a la implantaci\u00f3n poblacional, se ofrece un an\u00e1lisis hist\u00f3rico y arqueol\u00f3gico pormenorizado del lugar aut\u00f3ctono de g\u00e1ldar. por \u00faltimo, se estudia
