Las plaquetas de los pacientes diab\u00e9ticos fueron m\u00e1s resistentes a la inhibici\u00f3n por ambas v\u00edas, respecto a las personas sanas, presentaron menos producci\u00f3n de prostaciclina y \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico, as\u00ed como una disminuci\u00f3n en la funcionalidad tanto de ampc como de gmpc. Los diab\u00e9ticos insulinodependientes presentaron una mayor afectaci\u00f3n de estas v\u00edas que los no insulinodependientes. Aquellos diab\u00e9ticos con retinopat\u00eda de predominio isqu\u00e9mico presentaron una inhibici\u00f3n en la s\u00edntesis de \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico, mientras que los diab\u00e9ticos con retinopat\u00eda de predominio edematoso mostraron un intenso incremento en la s\u00edntesis leucocitaria de \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico, pudiendo ser este uno de los mecanismos implicados en la
