Isabel Queipo Ortu\u00f1o <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Dado que el cuadro cl\u00ednico de la brucelosis humana es sumamente inespec\u00edfico, para su diagn\u00f3stico es necesario recurrir a diferentes pruebas bacteriol\u00f3gicas y serol\u00f3gicas. No obstante esta metodolog\u00eda convencionalmente empleada presenta serias limitaciones. por lo que, en la presente memoria doctoral se ha investigado el uso potencial de un ensayo basado en un \u00fanico paso de pcr como test r\u00e1pido para el diagn\u00f3stico de la enfermedad. Dicho estudio const\u00f3 de dos etapas netamente diferentes, una primera etapa en la cual se desarroll\u00f3 y optimiz\u00f3 la prueba de pcr sometida a ensayo y una segunda etapa en la que se valor\u00f3 su eficacia diagn\u00f3stica. con la aplicaci\u00f3n de dicha prueba de pcr a pacientes con brucelosis se ha conseguido:  &#8211; incrementar el porcentaje de diagn\u00f3sticos directos, que en la actualidad no superan el 50-70% de los casos.  &#8211; reducir el tiempo necesario para alcanzar un diagn\u00f3stico de certeza, que en la actualidad requiere varios d\u00edas en el mejor de los casos, con la consiguiente reducci\u00f3n de la demora en la aplicaci\u00f3n del tratamiento adecuado, lo que supondr\u00e1 un claro beneficio para el paciente.  &#8211; eliminar el alto riesgo que supone para el microbi\u00f3logo y el personal de laboratorio la manipulaci\u00f3n de brucellas vivas.  por lo tanto, la puesta en pr\u00e1ctica de una pcr sensible, espec\u00edfica y capaz de ser aplicada sin dificultades t\u00e9cnicas especiales supone un paso importante en el diagn\u00f3stico de la brucelosis humana.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Desarrollo y valoracion de la eficacia diagnostica de una prueba de pcr en la brucelosis humana.<\/strong>\u00ab<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>T\u00edtulo de la tesis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Desarrollo y valoracion de la eficacia diagnostica de una prueba de pcr en la brucelosis humana. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Autor:<\/strong>\u00a0 M.
