En estadios m\u00e1s tard\u00edos del desarrollo, se observa que aparecen dos regiones alares que expresan los transcriptos dm-20, la zona limitans en el dienc\u00e9falo y la regi\u00f3n entopeduncular en el prosenc\u00e9falo secundario. Con un anticuerpo monoclonal para la prote\u00edna plp, hemos estudiado como se distribuyen los oligodendrocitos migrando as\u00ed como los procesos de maduraci\u00f3n en relaci\u00f3n con su origen segmental. mediante quimeras codorniz-pollo y pollo-pollo hemos mostrado que las regiones alares se comportan como una fuente precursora de oligodendrocitos, capaces de llevar a cabo procesos migratorios para posteriormente iniciar la mielinizaci\u00f3n.  en el desarrollo del cerebro de pollo, los progenitores oligodendroc\u00edticos son especificados en un patr\u00f3n espacio-temporal preciso. Y las v\u00edas migratorias de la l\u00ednea oligodendroc\u00edtica durante el desarrollo est\u00e1n relacionadas con el origen regional de los progenitores. los procesos generales de regionalizaci\u00f3n neural en la base de la morfog\u00e9nesis cerebral, influencia de manera decisiva la generaci\u00f3n y migraci\u00f3n de precursores oligodendrogliales.
