As\u00ed disponemos de sistemas basados en las proporciones faciales, los cuales cambian con el sentido est\u00e9tico imperante, los sistemas bidimensionales basados en la medici\u00f3n de distancias y \u00e1ngulos cuyo mayor exponente radica en la antropometr\u00eda f\u00edsica, y los sistemas tridimensionales, basados en el registro del volumen facial. De estos \u00faltimos podemos distinguir aquellos que se fundamentan en la proyecci\u00f3n de una rejilla (phisyoprint, fotograf\u00eda telec\u00e9ntrica, topograf\u00eda moir\u00e9 y morfoan\u00e1lisis) y las que se fundamentan en la visi\u00f3n binocular (estereofotometr\u00eda). Bajo el m\u00e9todo \u00f3ptico de la topograf\u00eda moir\u00e9 hemos desarrollado un sistema de topograf\u00eda facial con el objetivo normalizar los labios de la poblaci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola dentro de la tercera d\u00e9cada de la vida. Bajo este punto de vista hemos desarrollado un sistema de transferencia original que permite posicionar el perfil facial bajo el plano axio-orbitario, permitiendo una transferencia exacta del perfil labial, libre de toda distorsi\u00f3n postural, el cual se fundamenta en la modificaci\u00f3n de la horquilla porta impresiones del arco facial de un articulador. De esta forma hemos procedido a la medici\u00f3n de las variables de perfil. Posteriormente se han correlacionado dichas variables con las obtenidas mediante el empleo de telerradiograf\u00edas laterales de cr\u00e1neo con perfiles blandos. Hemos estudiado un total de 37 variables. De ellas 18 presentan informaci\u00f3n dim\u00f3rfica concerniente al sexo, 10 nos han permitido confeccionar el normograma labial, a partir del cual es posible valorar un labio, predecir su normalidad, y comprobar los cambios sufridos tras un determinado tratamiento. todas las variables estudiadas se ajustan a la normalidad (distribuci\u00f3n gausiana).
