Luis <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Las centrales t\u00e9rmicas convencionales generan energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica a partir de combustibles f\u00f3siles y su potencia instalada es el 47% de la total del parque generador del sistema el\u00e9ctrico espa\u00f1ol. La importancia de las inversiones a realizar para incrementar la potencia disponible y atender los crecimientos anuales de la demanda, la dificultad de ubicar estas instalaciones en nuevos emplazamientos, tanto por los propios requisitos t\u00e9cnicos como por el rechazo social con el que son recibidas, y la normativa medioambiental vigente que obliga a una contin\u00faa adaptaci\u00f3n de la planta a las denominadas tecnolog\u00edas limpias, aconseja prolongar el uso de las instalaciones siempre que se garanticen condiciones de explotaci\u00f3n seguras y eficientes.  el trabajo que se presenta desarrolla la investigaci\u00f3n para determinar el estado en el que se encuentran los principales equipos y sistemas de una central t\u00e9rmica convencional, a partir de sus caracter\u00edsticas de dise\u00f1o y de los datos hist\u00f3ricos de operaci\u00f3n de la unidad. Prosigue la investigaci\u00f3n con la misma determinaci\u00f3n, basada esta vez en los resultados de un programa de ensayos espec\u00edficos.
