El sistema tr\u00f3fico microbiano resulta de gran importancia en t\u00e9rminos de biomasa y de flujos de nitr\u00f3geno. La fase de floraci\u00f3n fue la m\u00e1s productiva y en ella dominaron las proliferaciones de diatomeas.  en esta fase la disponibilidad de nitrato fue&gt;90%, la tasa de absorci\u00f3n de nitrato fue de 19 mmol n m-2 d-1 y el \u00edndice-f fue 27%. la regeneraci\u00f3n de nitr\u00f3geno fue suficiente para compensar la demanda de nitr\u00f3geno de fitoplancton. en el resto de fases oceanogr\u00e1ficas, los flujos heterotr\u00f3ficos excedieron la producci\u00f3n primaria. En la fase de senescencia se observ\u00f3 una deficiencia acusada de nitr\u00f3geno y el amonio result\u00f3 la forma preferida por el firtoplancton. El impacto del mesozooplancton fue notable.  en las fases de floramiento y estratificaci\u00f3n las tasas de absorci\u00f3n de nitr\u00f3geno resultaron elevadas en comparaci\u00f3n con la incorporaci\u00f3n de carbono, y la regeneraci\u00f3n in situ result\u00f3 insuficiente para la demanda del fitoplancton. la biomasa de heter\u00f3trofos fue m\u00e1s elevada que la aut\u00f3trofos, y la ingesti\u00f3n herbivora represent\u00f3 un impacto importante. En la fase de mezcla el n disuelto fue elevado y la regeneraci\u00f3n de amonio excede el consumo. en el promedio anual se produce un exceso neto de producci\u00f3n primaria, aunque la biomasa de
