En una primera parte se estudia la preconcentraci\u00f3n del hidruro de cadmio sobre tubos de grafito y se comparan las caracter\u00edsticas anal\u00edticas con la determinaci\u00f3n de cadmio mediante atomizaci\u00f3n electrot\u00e9rmica convencional en equipos de absorci\u00f3n at\u00f3mica. Se observa una reducci\u00f3n de interferencias de matriz y una mejora de dos ordenes de magnitud en los l\u00edmites de detecci\u00f3n. En la segunda parte se estudia la generaci\u00f3n del hidruro de cadmio mediante an\u00e1lisis por inyecci\u00f3n en flujo y detecci\u00f3n por espectrometr\u00eda de masas con fuente de plasma de acoplamiento inductivo (icp-ms). Los l\u00edmites de detecci\u00f3n se encuentran entre los 3 y los 7 pg. Para 50 ml. Inyectados. La tercera parte de la tesis estudia distintos procedimientos de especiaci\u00f3n de cadmio en muestras biol\u00f3gicas. Se estudia tanto el faccionamiento de prote\u00ednas mediante ultrafiltraci\u00f3n como la separaci\u00f3n cromatogr\u00e1fica de metalotioneinas por intercambio ani\u00f3nico. la detecci\u00f3n en
