Los primeros seis cap\u00edtulos se concentran en el pensamiento de bayle; tratan de exhibir conexi\u00f3n entre sus objeciones a la teolog\u00eda yla fe \u00abciega\u00bb que este autor termina proponiendo como \u00fanico modo de salvar la creencia en el dios cristiano. Los tres \u00faltimos cap\u00edtulos tratan de mostrar la influencia de bayle en hume; primero en un conjunto de notas conocido como los \u00abearly memoranda\u00bb, y posteriormente en los di\u00e1logos. Seg\u00fan la hip\u00f3tesis que aqu\u00ed se propone fil\u00f3n, el personaje esc\u00e9ptico de los \u00abdi\u00e1logos\u00bb, presenta muchos rasgos semejantes al fide\u00edsmo de bayle y
