Cerevisiae, tanto a nivel gen\u00e9tico como a nivel bioqu\u00edmico. Hemos aislado y caracterizado molecular y funcionalmente, un nuevo gen, chs7, implicado en la s\u00edntesis de quitina en esta levadura. el gen chs7 codifica una prote\u00edna del ret\u00edculo endopl\u00e1smico requerida para la actividad qsiii, cuya expresi\u00f3n se induce en todos los momentos en los que se requiere s\u00edntesis de quitina. En ausencia de chs7p, chs3p, la subunidad catal\u00edtica de la actividad qsiii, queda retenida espec\u00edficamente en el ret\u00edculo endopl\u00e1smico no llegando a su lugar de actuaci\u00f3n, lo que se traduce en un defecto in vivo e in vitro en la s\u00edntesis de quitina. Tambi\u00e9n hemos profundizado en la caracterizaci\u00f3n molecular y funcional de otros genes implicados en la s\u00edntesis de quitina: chs4 codifica una prote\u00edna con una doble funci\u00f3n a) es un activador postraduccional de la actividad qsiii in vivo e in vitro y b) est\u00e1 implicada en el anclaje de chs3p a la zona de la membrana plasm\u00e1tica donde ejerce su acci\u00f3n. Finalmente, el gen chs6 codifica una prote\u00edna requerida para la actividad qsiii estando implicada en el transporte subcelular de chs3p..<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
