Desde un punto de vista farmacocin\u00e9tico, esta cardiotoxicidad se puede justificar como consecuencia de una elevada acumulaci\u00f3n y distribuci\u00f3n en coraz\u00f3n.  los objetivos de este trabajo han sido: a) estudiar la fijaci\u00f3n tisular de doxorrubicina, especialmente en coraz\u00f3n y b) evaluar la interacci\u00f3n de agentes con un posible papel cardioprotector (digoxina y verapamilo). Para ello se han llevado a cabo ensayor preliminares in vitro, utilizando la t\u00e9cnica de la di\u00e1lisis de equilibrio, y ensayos in vivo, con ratas wistar sometidas a un tratamiento con dosis \u00fanica y otro con dosis m\u00faltiple. Cromatograf\u00eda l\u00edquida de alta eficacia (hlpc) ha sido la t\u00e9cnica utilizada para cuantificar doxorrubicina en las muestras, no siendo el coeficiente de variaci\u00f3n (%) medio de la t\u00e9cnica anal\u00edtica &gt; 7.09%, por alturas.  el proceso de fijaci\u00f3n de doxorrubicina a homogenados de coraz\u00f3n se ha caracterizado por ser \u00e1ltamente espec\u00edfico y saturable, exisitiendo una reducci\u00f3n significativa del coeficiente de reparto en presencia de digoxina, y especialmente de verapamilo. Asimismo, doxorrubicina presenta una gran afinidad por tejidos fuertemente irrigados como pulm\u00f3n, ri\u00f1on, h\u00edgado, m\u00fasculo, y especialmente coraz\u00f3n. El tratamiento previo de los animales con verapamilo produce un incremento de las concentraciones tisulares de doxorrubicina, acompa\u00f1ado de una reducci\u00f3n del coeficiente de reparto en la mayor\u00eda de los casos. estos resultados se justifican con la disminuci\u00f3n del aclaramiento detectada y la marcada p\u00e9rdida de peso observada en los animales tratados con varapamilo.  igualmente, doxorrubicina induce un acelerado proceso oxidativo directamente sobre coraz\u00f3n, y un da\u00f1o histol\u00f3gico acusado; efectos que tienden a ser revertidos en
