Este grupo metoxilo incrementa la resistencia del antibi\u00f3tico a la degradaci\u00f3n por beta-lactamasas microbianas. En el desarrollo de este trabajo se han caracterizado dos genes, amci y amcj, de la agrupaci\u00f3n biosint\u00e9tica de cefamicina c de nocardia lactamdurans, responsables de la introducci\u00f3n del citado grupo metoxilo durante la bios\u00edntesis del antibi\u00f3tico. Los productos g\u00e9nicos del amci y amcj, prote\u00ednas p7 y p8 respectivamente, constituyen un sistema de dos componentes capaces de interaccionar entre s\u00ed, catalizado de forma coordinada la reacci\u00f3n de metoxilaci\u00f3n del anillo beta-lact\u00e1mico. La prote\u00edna p7 posee zonas de identidad significativa en amino\u00e1cidos con metiltransferasas dependientes de s-denosilmetionina y con hiddroxilasas dependientes de fe(iie no hem\u00ednico. Esta prote\u00edna se encuentra implicada en el reconocimiento de algunos de los cofactores de la reacci\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica. por su parte, la prote\u00edna p8 parece estar directamente implicada en el reconocimiento del substrato de la reacci\u00f3n, y resulta esencial para la estabilidad del complejo p7-p8. Este complejo proteico existe in vivo en todos los microorganismos productores de cefamicina c que han sido estudiados. debido al elevado potencial biotecnol\u00f3gico que presenta este sistema, durante el desarrollo de esta memoria se han utilizado los genes amci y amcj de nocardia lactamdurans para la producci\u00f3n de 7-metoxicefalosporina c, mediante expresi\u00f3n de los mismos de
