Las pruebas de actividad biol\u00f3gica frente spodoptera littoralis de los 4 tioles revelan que dos de ellos presentan mayor nivel de antiapetencia que la ajugarina.  se ha llevado a cabo la optimizaci\u00f3n de la reducci\u00f3n regioselectiva de 17, para obtener despu\u00e9s de acetilar un diacetilderivado, que se hace reacionar con phi(aco)2\/i2\/h, para conseguir la funcionalizaci\u00f3n del me-19 de los neo-clerodanos obteni\u00e9ndose el \u00f3xido 73, que por oxidaci\u00f3n conduce a una lactona 78. La protecci\u00f3n de c-2 y c-15 con grupos metoximetilenoxi ha permitido la reducci\u00f3n adecuada de la gamma-lactona, hasta un diol que por porteriores transformaciones conduce hasta el hemiacetal
