Posee una envoltura membranosa que rodea a una nucleoc\u00e1psida helicoidal. La nucleoc\u00e1psida est\u00e1 formada por una mol\u00e9cula de rna de polaridad negativa y tres tipos de prote\u00ednas: la np, p y l. La envoltura membranosa consiste en una bicapa lip\u00eddica, que deriva de la membrana plasm\u00e1tica de la c\u00e9lula infectada, y tres tipos de prote\u00ednas: la prote\u00edna f (de fusi\u00f3n) que es una glicoprote\u00edna transmembranal, formada por dos subunidades; la prote\u00edna hn(hemaglutinina-neuraminidasa) que es tambi\u00e9n una glicoprote\u00edna transmembranal, orientada con el dominio carboxiterminal hacia el exterior de la membrana; y la prote\u00edna m(de matriz), que no est\u00e1 glicosilada y se dispone en la cara interna de la membrana, formando una especie de armaz\u00f3n. En el trabajo se ha utilizado ndv de la cepa clone-30, y en concreto, las prote\u00ednas hn y m han sido el objeto de estudio.  en los que se refiere a la prote\u00edna hn, se ha investigado como afecta la desnaturalizaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica a la estructura y funci\u00f3n de la misma, empleando para ello diversas t\u00e9cnicas, como son: el estudio de la p\u00e9rdida de actividad enzim\u00e1tica, la influencia en el \u00abbinding\u00bb del virus a membranas, microcalorimetr\u00eda diferencial de barrido, y cambios en la fluorescencia intr\u00ednseca del tript\u00f3fano. para los estudios se ha utilizado prote\u00edna hn en diferentes formas: en el ndv intacto, en envolturas solublizadas, en envolturas reconstituidas y la fracci\u00f3n globular soluble, correspondiente al dominio carboxiterminal externo de la prote\u00edna (ct-hn). Por este motivo, como paso previo, se ha desarrollado un sistema de obtenci\u00f3n y purificaci\u00f3n de la ct-hn, eliminando as\u00ed los problemas que plantea el estudio de prote\u00ednas de tipo transmembtanal, que en ausencia de detergente tienden a agregar.
