Esther <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La finalidad de esta tesis doctoral ha sido conocer las creencias que sostienen los profesores de primaria sobre el proceso de ense\u00f1anza-aprendizaje de las matem\u00e1ticas y su relaci\u00f3n con la pr\u00e1ctica docente. comprende dos estudios: el primero de ellos revel\u00f3 la existencia de dos tipos de creencias: una creencia de corte asociacionista formada por un solo factor y que abarcaba todo el proceso de ense\u00f1anza de las matem\u00e1ticas, y otra creencia de corte constructivista, formada por dos factores, uno de ellos relacionado con el aprendizaje y el otro relacionado con la ense\u00f1anza. El segundo estudio es un estudio de casos y se realiz\u00f3 con la finalidad de conocer la pr\u00e1ctica de ense\u00f1anza de dos profesores de primaria, que inicialmente sosten\u00edan distintas creencias acerca de la ense\u00f1anza de las matem\u00e1ticas.
