Estas part\u00edculas son capaces de ineractuar con la radiaci\u00f3n procedente del sol de forma directa, modificando la entrada de energ\u00eda al sistema, e indirecta, alterando las propiedades de las nubes. adem\u00e1s, dado su tama\u00f1o pueden llegar a ser importantes para la salud de las personas, especialmente en aquellas con problemas respiratorios.  la presente memoria describre de forma precisa toda la labor realizada para llevar a cabo el c\u00e1lculo de diferentes propiedades radiactivas de los aerosoles atmosf\u00e9ricos, tales como el espesor \u00f3ptico de aerosoles o el car\u00e1cter de la distribuci\u00f3n en tama\u00f1os de dichas part\u00edculas, a partir de las medidas realizadas desde sat\u00e9lite. para ello se han desarrollado un algoritmo novedoso, a partir de los datos obtenidos por el radi\u00f3metro avhrr de los sat\u00e9lites noaa, con lo que es posible abarcar toda la regi\u00f3n del atl\u00e1ntico norte subtropical. Para poder estimar la precisi\u00f3n de las medidas realizadas desde sat\u00e9lite se ha llevado a cabo el desarrollo y puesta a punto de dos radi\u00f3metros terrestres. Estos equipos han sido profusamente calibrados e intercomparados con otros de su misma clase, siguiendo las pautas marcadas por organizaciones internacionales como la o.M.M.
