Dicho modelo, concebido como una herramienta facilmente configurable para cualquier tipo de exploraci\u00f3n radiol\u00f3gica y cualquier tipo de paciente, puede utilizarse en un pc convencional. En este caso el modelo ha sido aplicado al conjunto cabeza-cuello tanto en una exploraci\u00f3n de cr\u00e1neo-lateral simple en tomograf\u00eda digital habi\u00e9ndose estudiado adem\u00e1s la influencia en el resultado de diversos factores como tama\u00f1o de celdas en que se divide el espacio de inter\u00e9s, n\u00famero de historias, tipo de haz de rayos x, etc.  los resultados obtenidos en ambos tipos de exploraciones se han comparado con los valores experimentales de dosis medidos en un maniqu\u00ed antropom\u00f3rfico utilizando dos\u00edmetros termoluminiscentes. El acuerdo entre resultados te\u00f3ricos y experimentales, aunque es bueno en todos los casos estudiados, resulta ser muy bueno cuando se usaba un haz monoenerg\u00e9tico con celdas de 1 cm de arista y 106 historias.  tambi\u00e9n se ha calculado la dosis efectiva que recibe el paciente, resultando que, en la exploraci\u00f3n de tomograf\u00eda digital, la dosis efectiva es unas 80 veces mayor que en la radiograf\u00eda convencional, lo que es un factor a tener en cuenta a la hora de decidir el m\u00e9todo de radiodiagn\u00f3stico que se debe utilizar en cada caso.  por \u00faltimo se ha hecho una aplicaci\u00f3n del modelo a radioterapia con 60 co determinando la dosis en varios puntos de la cabeza y obteni\u00e9ndose unos valores que acuerdan muy bien con los obtenidos
