La densidad en dicha regi\u00f3n es de orden o(e-m), siendo m un par\u00e1metro positivo, mientras que en el exterior es de orden unidad. Nosotros estudiamos el comportamiento asint\u00f3tico, cuando e tiende a cero de los valores propios y funciones propias del correspondiente problema espectral relativo a ciertos problemas el\u00edpticos. Dicho problema espectral determina las frecuencias y modos de vibraci\u00f3n fundamentales del sistema en un contexto din\u00e1mico, es decir dependiendo del tiempo. Diversos autores han estudiado las bajas frecuencias cuando m&gt; 2, valores propios de orden o(em-2), demostrando que, en este caso, aparecen vibraciones locales de la masa concentrada. Nos ocupamos de las altas frecuencias, esto es, de los valores propios de orden unidad, e=o(1), y de las correspondientes funciones propias. Demostramos que las altas frecuencias se densifican en todo el intervalo (o,   ). Adem\u00e1s, damos informaci\u00f3n sobre el comportamiento de las funciones propias tanto en la variable global, x, como en la variable local, y = x\/e.  tambi\u00e9n estudiamos el comportamiento asint\u00f3tico de las frecuencias y modos de vibraci\u00f3n fundamentales de una placa que contiene una masa concentrada, utilizando el modelo de placa de mindlin.
