Una de sus ventajas es la viabilidad, lo que permite el estudio de su fonotipo a lo largo de toda su vida. El an\u00e1lisis neuromorfol\u00f3gico general del modelo ts65dn no mostr\u00f3 alteraciones, sin embargo en los estudios estereol\u00f3gicos se observ\u00f3 una reducci\u00f3n la celularidad del giro dentado y un aumento en la regi\u00f3n ca3. El volumen hipoc\u00e1mpico fue similar. La organizaci\u00f3n estructural de los principales n\u00facleos catecolamin\u00e9rgicos fue similar en ambos grupos de animales. Tampoco hubo diferencias en la densidad de los adrenoceptores beta, pero s\u00ed una ligera disminuci\u00f3n en su afinidad. Tambi\u00e9n se encontr\u00f3 una disminuci\u00f3n en la eficacia de la se\u00f1al transmembrana de este receptor, el sistema adenilil ciclasa, tanto en corteza como en hipocampo. La caracterizaci\u00f3n del fenotipo conductual de los animales mostr\u00f3 que no existen diferencias en los reflejos sensoriomotores entre animales control y tris\u00f3micos, ni en emotividad. Los ratones ts65dn fueron hiperactivos en condiciones de oscuridad, y mostraron una mayor conducta exploractoria, aunque con un patr\u00f3n menos eficiente.
