Se han identificado todos los genes necesarios para la bios\u00edntesis de mo-molibdopterina (moaa, moab, moac, moad, moae, moea y moeb y el gen moba requerido para la bios\u00edntesis del dinucle\u00f3tido de molibdopterina y guanina (mgd). Los genes moaa, moab, moac, moad y  moae constituyen un oper\u00f3n. El gen moea se encuentra agrupado junto al oper\u00f3n moa y se transcribe en sentido divergente a \u00e9l.  2. El gen narb representa el gen estructural de la nitrato reductasa. Esta es la primera identificaci\u00f3n inequivoca de un gen que determine una nitrato reductasa asimilatoria en bacterias. la secuencia de amino\u00e1cidos de la nitrato reductasa comienza en el residuo de metionina que ocupa la posici\u00f3n 15 del gen narb previamente descrito.  3. La nitrato reductasa contiene una agrupaci\u00f3n sulfof\u00e9rica que sugerimos que sea del tipo (3fe-4s) con s= 5\/2. El residuo de ciste\u00edna 56 parece estar implicado en la uni\u00f3n de este agrupamiento sulfofenico a la apoprote\u00edna. El resto de residuos necesarios para la coordinaci\u00f3n de esta agrupaci\u00f3n podr\u00eda corresponder a las ciste\u00ednas que ocupan las posiciones 9, 12 y 16.  4. La nitrato reductasa contiene un cofactor de molibdeno del tipo mgd. Sugerimos que \u00e9ste se encuentre en una forma bis-mgd donde el \u00e1tomo de molibdeno estar\u00eda coordinado por seis \u00e1tomos de azufre, cuatro procedentes de dos mol\u00e9culas de mgd, uno podr\u00eda pertenecer a un residuo de ciste\u00edna y el otro a un residuo de metionina (que podr\u00edan ser cys-148 y met- 149).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
