Obteni\u00e9ndose resultados muy prometedores en el campo de la inflamaci\u00f3n, una de las l\u00edneas prioritarias de nuestro grupo de investigaci\u00f3n.  en la presente tesis doctoral hemos realizado un estudio fitoqu\u00edmico de los extractos hexanoico y clorof\u00f3rmico aislandose alfa- amirina, 2-amino imidazol, globulol, farneseno, \u00e1cido hexadecanoico, \u00e1cido 1,2,3,4a, 9, 10, 10a octahidro, 1, 4a dimetil; 7(1 metil etil) 1 fenantreno carbox\u00edlico; 2, 4 bis (dimetil bencil) dimetil etil fenol del extracto hexan\u00f3ico y estigmasterol y beta-sitosterol del extracto clorof\u00f3rmico.  posteriormente se realiz\u00f3 el estudio de la actividad antiinflamatorio tanto cr\u00f3nica como aguda de ambos extractos obteni\u00e9ndose resultados muy esperanzadores, por lo que se pas\u00f3 a un estudio m\u00e1s profundo valorando tanto la actividad antiinflamatoria de los principios aislados como su mecanismo de acci\u00f3n, lleg\u00e1ndose a la conclusi\u00f3n de que tanto el estigmasterol como el beta-sitosterol tienen un comportamiento similar al de los corticoides, utilizados ampliamente en terap\u00e9utica.  por otra parte y de forma paralela, se realizaron estudios de actividad citost\u00e1tica con ambos extractos mostrando una elevada actividad frente a cultivos celulares vegetales y animales, por lo que se continu\u00f3 con el estudio de los principios aislados, siendo alfa-amirina la que present\u00f3 una mayor actividad frente al cultivo de c\u00e9lulas animales.#<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Estudio fitofarmacologico de la especie achilea ageratum l.<\/strong>\u00ab<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>T\u00edtulo de la tesis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Estudio fitofarmacologico de la especie achilea ageratum l. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Autor:<\/strong>\u00a0  Gomez Lopez Mercedes Alicia <\/li>\n<li><strong>Universidad:<\/strong>\u00a0 Sevilla<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fecha de lectura de la tesis:<\/strong>\u00a0 01\/01\/1999<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Direcci\u00f3n y tribunal<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Director de la tesis<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li> Saenz Rodriguez M.
