El bi2cuo4 se forma por reacci\u00f3n del cuo con 3 fases: bi2o3, bi12pbo20 y b16pb2o11. las fases bipbo son mucho m\u00e1s reactivas, y provocan la formaci\u00f3n de una fase l\u00edquida adem\u00e1s de inducir un cambio en la morfolog\u00eda del producto final. el pb no remplaza al bi en la red del bi2cuo4. La velocidad de formaci\u00f3n de la fase 2201 es ligeramente superior en presencia de pb, aunque \u00e9ste no entra a formar parte de su estructura inmediatamente. El bi2cuo4 no reacciona directamente con el srco3 para dar la 2201, sino que es la fase bi2sro4 la que reacciona con el cuo formando la fase 2201. Utilizando un m\u00e9todo de s\u00edntesis alternativo al m\u00e9todo cer\u00e1mico tradicional, liofilizaci\u00f3n de disoluciones de acetatos met\u00e1licos se ha logrado obtener la fase 2223 sin
