Centeno Guil <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Mediante el desarrollo de un modelo original de isquemia cerebral global transitoria en cabra, hemos estudiado la implicaci\u00f3n de episodios isqu\u00e9micos de diferente duraci\u00f3n sobre la respuesta microcirculatoria en la corteza cerebral, la reactividad vascular tras la isquemia y la neurodegeneraci\u00f3n en la regi\u00f3n hipoc\u00e1mpica.  los resultados obtenidos nos han permitido concluir que a un episodio isqu\u00e9mico le sigue una fase de hiperemia reactiva, que se contin\u00faa de una fase mantenida de hipoperfusi\u00f3n postisqu\u00e9mica.  la duraci\u00f3n del episodio isqu\u00e9mico se correlaciona con una alteraci\u00f3n de la reactividad vascular a los principales factores vasoactivos endoteliales (endotelina-1 y \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico). Adem\u00e1s, recuentos neuronales realizados en tres \u00e1reas diferentes del hipocampo demuestran la existencia de una vulnerabilidad neuronal selectiva y tard\u00eda en la zona cai del hipocampo dorsal tras episodios isqu\u00e9micos de larga duraci\u00f3n.
