Se ha estudiado por hplc la variaci\u00f3n en el contenido en carden\u00f3lidos en poblaciones naturales de digitalis obscura. los an\u00e1lisis realizados muestran que dicha variaci\u00f3n es fundamentalmente dependiente del genotipo. Se ha empleado la generaci\u00f3n de marcadores rapd para evaluar la variabilidad gen\u00e9tica en las poblaciones estudiadas de d. Obscura. El an\u00e1lisis molecular de la varianza, corregido para datos rapd, as\u00ed como las estimas de los estad\u00edsticos-f, han mostrado una diferenciaci\u00f3n significativa entre las poblaciones, a pesar de que el mayor componente de variaci\u00f3n es el debido a las diferencias de los individuos dentro de poblaciones, de acuerdo con el comportamiento al\u00f3gamo de d. Obscura.  se han estudiado las relaciones entre siete especies del g\u00e9nero digitalis mediante marcadores rapd. Diversas aproximaciones estad\u00edsticas confirman las relaciones taxon\u00f3micas obtenidas mediante caracteres morfol\u00f3gicos.  se ha desarrollado un protocolo eficiente de transformaci\u00f3n
