Adicionalmente se ha mezclado el fenoxi con un pol\u00edmero de ingenier\u00eda prototipo como el poli\u00f3xido de metileno (pom).  el mezclado se ha realizado en estado fundido por varios m\u00e9todos. Las t\u00e9cnicas de caracterizaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s relevantes han sido dsc, dmta, sem rayos x, microscopia \u00f3ptica y ensayo de tracci\u00f3n.  el importante efecto de cambios de la estructura molecular en el nivel de miscibilidad y en las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas se ha discutido en base principalmente a la importancia de la transici\u00f3n secundaria del fenoxi, nivel de cristalinidad
