Estos microorganismos llegan a los sistemas acu\u00e1ticos procedentes de vertidos de aguas residuales y son los protistas los principales responsables de su eliminaci\u00f3n. Los resultados del presente trabajo demuestran la existencia de una predici\u00f3n diferencial por parte de la comunidad de protistas del rio brut\u00f3n. Entre los factores que influyen en este proceso el tama\u00f1o, la morfolog\u00eda y el origen de las presas no fueron determinantes mientras que el tipo de pared si lo fue, siendo las bacterias gram negativas m\u00e1s f\u00e1cilmente eliminadas. Ademas, el proceso de eliminaci\u00f3n estuvo condicionado por la digesti\u00f3n, la cual implic\u00f3 la mayor eliminaci\u00f3n de bacterias como a.Hydrophila y la menor en ent. Faecalis. En el an\u00e1lisis de la primera fase que tiene lugar en el proceso de eliminaci\u00f3n o fase de respuesta se utiliz\u00f3 como modelo de estudio el ciliado uronema nigricans.
