La composici\u00f3n de esta saliva es modificada a su paso a trav\u00e9s de los conductos tapizados de c\u00e9lulas ductales, que reabsorben sodio y cloro, y secretan potasio y bicarbonato, as\u00ed como diversas proteinas y mucinas para dar la saliva final que llega a la cavidad bucal, que es hipot\u00f3nica y m\u00e1s viscosa. La secreci\u00f3n salivar est\u00e1 regulada neuronalmente por v\u00eda simp\u00e1tica y parasimp\u00e1tica y depende de la acci\u00f3n de diversos neurotransmisores que act\u00faan a trav\u00e9s de diferentes v\u00edas de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n celular, como la fosfolipasa c, adenilato ciclasa, canales de calcio, etc. El atp se almacena y secreta conjuntamente con otros neurotransmisores y ejerce sus efectos a trav\u00e9s de receptores purin\u00e9rgicos. Los receptores purin\u00e9rgicos p2 se dividen en dos familias, los p2y, acoplados a la fosfolipasa c y\/o adenilato ciclasa, y los p2x, que son conductos inespec\u00edficos de cationes.  el trabajo presentado en esta tesis ha centrado su atenci\u00f3n en el estudio de las v\u00edas de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n celular y la caracterizaci\u00f3n molecular del receptor p2x7, un tipo especial de receptor p2x, capaz de formar poros que permiten el paso de mol\u00e9culas de hasta 900 da y que est\u00e1 presente tanto en ductos como en acinos, como se ha demostrado por rt-pcr y transferencia northern. Se ha caracterizado en c\u00e9lulas acinares la modulaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de este receptor de la respuesta a otros neurotransmisores, carbacol y substancia p, que activan a la fosfolipasa c. Adem\u00e1s, se ha dise\u00f1ado un m\u00e9todo de carga \u00e1cida que permite un nuevo enfoque del estudio del receptor en ausencia de cationes divalentes en el medio extracelular.  se ha puesto a punto una t\u00e9cnica para la obtenci\u00f3n de suspensiones frescas de c\u00e9lulas ductales y se ha utilizado para el estudio de los mecanismos de se\u00f1alizac<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
