Trabajos recientes de nuestro laboratorio han mostrado que el factor induce una transdiferenciaci\u00f3n epitelial-mesenquim\u00e1tica en queratinocitos transformados de piel de rat\u00f3n (l\u00ednea celular pdv), asociada a una transici\u00f3n de carcinomas escamosos bien diferenciados a carcinomas fusocelulares. El trabajo de esta tesis se ha centrado en el estudio del efecto de tgf-beta1 sobre el sistema u-pa, y el papel de u-pa en el aumento de la malignidad tumoral inducida por el factor. La expresi\u00f3n\/secreci\u00f3n de u-pa, as\u00ed como el n\u00famero de sitios de uni\u00f3n de u-pa en la superficie celular, correlacionan con la invasividad y tumorogenicidad de l\u00edneas celulares transformadas de epidermis de rat\u00f3n. el tratamiento de c\u00e9lulas pdv con tgf-beta1 induce un aumento de la expresi\u00f3n\/secreci\u00f3n de u-pa y de la fracci\u00f3n de u-pa unido a la membrana plasm\u00e1tica de las c\u00e9lulas. tgf-beta1 induce, asimismo, un aumento de la expresi\u00f3n\/secreci\u00f3n del inhibidor de u-pa pai-1, mientras que reduce los niveles de pai-2. uroquinasa es un mediador del fenotipo migratorio e invasivo inducido por tgf-beta1, ya que antagonistas de la uni\u00f3n de u-pa a la superficie celular inhiben la migraci\u00f3n e invasividad estimulada por el factor. Queratinocitos inmortalizados no tumorog\u00e9nicos (mca3d) no responden a tgf-beta1 para estos cambios fenot\u00edpicos.  mediante el uso de agentes que modulan la actividad quinasa, se demuestra en
