Los resultados obtenidos demuestran de una forma integradora la secuencia de eventos madurativos que subyacen al desarrollo temprano de los linfocitos t. El empleo de una serie de estrategias experimentales nos ha permitido obtener informaci\u00f3n sobre la ogipotencialidad de los precursores m\u00e1s tempranos que colonizan el timo postnatal humano, y en concreto sobre los mecanismos que detrminan la diversificaci\u00f3n de linajes hematopoy\u00e9ticos (t\/nk\/dc).  el estudio de los eventos que toman lugar en la diferenciaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas de linaje t, nos han permitido identificar una serie de estadios de maduraci\u00f3n, anteriores a la expresi\u00f3n de un complejo tcr (alpha\/beta) en la membrana de los timocitos. El an\u00e1lisis detallado de todos los estadios identificados ha revelado un importante punto de control en la generaci\u00f3n de c\u00e9lulas t maduras. Por otro lado una serie de abordajes moleculares y bioqu\u00edmicos nos han permitido demostrar la implicaci\u00f3n del complejo pre-tcr en dicho punto de control, adem\u00e1s de haberse identificado
