Las conexinas forman los canales intercelulares, formadas por la uni\u00f3n de los hemicanales en el espacio extracelular, cada uno de ellos aportado por una de las c\u00e9lulas. En este trabajo se muestra que los precursores inmediatos de los canales intercelulares son los hemicanales que se incorpora a los canales completos tras el contacto celular. El an\u00e1lisis funcional de 9 mutaciones asociadas a la cmtx, 5 de las cuales eran deleciones del carboxilo terminal, muestra que 7 de ellos tienen afectada su capacidad para formar canales intercelulares, mostr\u00e1ndose tambi\u00e9n que la uni\u00f3n entre los hemicanales depende de su probabilidad de apertura. El estudio de las propiedades de regulaci\u00f3n por voltaje de los nuevos canales mutados revela la existencia de un mecanismo de cierre r\u00e1pido del canal localizado en el carboxilo terminal de
