Para ello realizamos dos experimentos desarrollando un paradigma experimental capaz de distinguir entre tener el conocimiento y utilizarlo activamente. Consideramos asimismo tres variables mas: el nivel escolar, el nivel de complejidad operativa de las macrorreglas y la familiaridad de los contenidos. Los resultados experimentales pueden resumirse asi:  a) las diferencias evolutivas podrian estar centradas en las operaciones de recuperacion que demandan el uso activo del conocimiento; b) las variables consideradas mantienen una interaccion dinamica en el proceso de comprension; y, c) la complejidad operativa de las macrorreglas se ve afectada tanto por el tipo de proceso de inferencias como por la familiaridad. Nuestro segundo objetivo fue explicar nuestros resultados desde una teoria de la comprension explicitada computacionalmente:  el modelo \u00abconstruccion-integracion\u00bb de kintsch (1988).  este analisis nos permitio identificar a la utilizacion activa de indices compuestos de recuperacion como un mecanismo explicativo de las diferencias evolutivas, concediendo una dimension evolutiva a los tres niveles de representacion del texto, lo que nos ha permitido proponer la hipotesis de \u00abequilibracion del procesamiento\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
